PENN HILLS, Pa. — A Penn Hills man pleaded guilty on Monday to charges stemming from a 2019 fatal accident in Penn Hills.
Kevin Morrow, 26, pleaded guilty to homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, involuntary manslaughter, two counts of aggravated assault while DUI, two counts of recklessly endangering another person and DUI.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Sept. 27.
The plea came one day short of two years since the incident.
Morrow, who was driving under the influence of alcohol according to authorities, failed to negotiate a curve on Saltsburg Road and slammed his Audi SQ5 into a Nissan Versa driven by 23-year-old Marc Anthony Jose Hazur just before 2 a.m. on June 29, 2019, in the area of Saltsburg and Hershey roads in Penn Hills.
Hazur died in the crash. Three people, including a passenger in Hazur’s vehicle, Morrow and a passenger in his vehicle, were injured were taken to hospitals.
