Man’s death ruled drowning after body found in Mon River in September

PITTSBURGH — A man’s death has been officially ruled a drowning after his body was found in the Monongahela River near the South Side in September.

According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, 29-year-old Jordan Coles was found dead in the water Sept. 2. The manner of his death is listed as undetermined, however.

Police said Coles was reported missing from the South Side on Aug. 30. The details surrounding his death are still under investigation and it’s not clear if there’s anything suspicious connected to it.
