McKEES ROCKS, Pa. — Someone broke into a church in McKees Rocks and stole money, police said.
It happened at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.
The church’s door was busted, leaving glass shattered Wednesday morning. It’s not clear how much money was taken.
People who live in the area said it’s upsetting to learn of what happened.
“I’m quite shocked. Why would you break into a church? The church doesn’t have any money. I mean, what could you possibly steal. Ridiculous,” Henry Murr, of Henry’s Auto Repair, said.
It’s unsettling for the typically quiet and peaceful neighborhood.
“I mean, I always lock doors and windows but, honestly, it’s probably about time to move,” Amanda Tiani, of McKees Rocks, said.
