More than 50 dead cats found at Lawrenceville home

Two people were arrested after police found more than 50 dead cats in and around a Lawrenceville home.

Marcia DiNardo and Thomas Crory are charged with more than 30 counts of cruelty to animals from a previous case.

Police said they found dozens of dead cats Friday while they were executing a search warrant at the 45th Street home. The cats were found in boxes, trash cans and coffee cans.

In April, police removed more than 40 cats from the home.

When asked if he felt remorseful or bad about the situation, Crory said, “I feel bad about the animals that they had to go through this.”

Neighbors said they knew something was going on because the stench of home was very strong.

Police said additional charges are pending against the couple, and they have been taken for a mental health evaluation.
