A Butler County police investigation spanned several states to make an arrest. A teenager is now in jail, accused of shooting a man in a crowded apartment.
Police say David Franklin was armed, dangerous and on the run for months. They finally tracked him down.
“We've been looking for him for two months steady,” said Deputy Chief Dave Adam with Butler police. Officers say not a day went by that they weren't looking for murder suspect David "Dae Dae' Franklin.
After enlisting dozens of law enforcement personnel, the U.S. Marshal's fugitive task force tracked the 19-year-old homicide suspect down hundreds of miles away in Richmond, Virginia.

“We never gave up, we kept on looking, we get a dangerous guy off the streets,” Adam said.
A 20-year-old man was shot inside one of the apartments at a complex on Wick Street March 17. Police told us a dozen people were in the home and witnessed the shooting. Three were girls under 13.
Police say the suspect from Brackenridge in Allegheny County ran from the scene. Officers caught up with him Thursday and locked him up. Police tell Channel 11 the murder was for $900.
“We want the residents to know that we keep at this,” Adam said. “We do our best to get the suspects off our street and he's going to be behind bars where he needs to be.”
He's being held in a Virginia jail. Police in Butler hope to get him back within the next few weeks to face charges.
