PITTSBURGH — A woman who was arrested after her children overdosed on prescription drugs and passed out at school was sent back to jail Wednesday for violating the terms of her release.

Officials said Samantha Brown, 27, of East McKeesport, approached one of her children in a lobby before a court hearing, which was in violation of a no-contact order.

"My child ran and jumped on my lap and gave me a kiss, and he'd been calling me from school and everything," Brown said after Wednesday's hearing. "My children love me. They want to be with their mother."

A judge revoked her bond and ordered her back to jail, where she will be held on $500,000 straight bond.

Police said that her sons, who are 8 and 9 years old, were found on the floor at Propel Braddock school earlier this month. The boys told investigators that Brown gave them Klonopin, which is a drug used to treat epilepsy and panic disorders.

Police said that Brown told them she “didn’t want the kids anyway” after her arrest. However, Brown said that was a lie.

"This is completely untrue, untrue. Nothing but lies and I just pray that the light of God is just shown because I really love my children. I would do anything for my children."

Brown's preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for next week. She said her sons will testify that she didn't give them the pills.
