UNIONTOWN, Pa. — Animal rescue officers spent several hours on Monday removing nearly 100 dogs from a Fayette County home.
Uniontown police said they were called to a house in the 100 block of East Coffee Street around 11:45 a.m.
The non-profit is seeking donations to help care for the rescued dogs which are not available for adoption at this time.
When officers arrived, they found a woman, her adult son and the dogs living in deplorable conditions. The woman and her son were sent to an area hospital for mental and medical evaluations.
Members of Cross Your Paws Rescue removed dozens of dogs, some only days old, from the house.
