HARRISBURG, Pa. — There's a new push to bring an end to smoking in Pennsylvania bars, casinos and hotels that still allow it.
House Bill 1309 was introduced Friday,
. It would eliminate exemptions to the state's Clean Indoor Air Act that allow some businesses to continue to allow smoking.

The American Cancer Society said the proposal would protect workers from second-hand smoke.
Under the bill, smoking would still be permitted in people’s homes.
