New brewpub set to open in Bethel Park

BETHEL PARK, Pa. — There could soon be another option for a sudsy stop on a summer afternoon in the South Hills.

According to our partners at TribLive.com, Drowning Fish Brewing Company is scheduled to open along Library Road in May in Bethel Park. Owners

Don Tomino of Pleasant Hills and Mike Ameel of Bethel Park met at a homebrew club about 25 years ago. That love for homebrewed beer is what led them to this latest project.

The new brewpub will be at 5454 Library Road in the bar that most recently housed Duke’s Station.

Tomino and Ameel plan to have 12 taps in the bar with varying styles of beer. There will also be a small food menu with space to seat around 70 people in the dining room. They’re hoping to allow outdoor seating in the parking lot as well.
