NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The New Castle City Police Department is warning residents of a possible phone scam, where the caller claims to be an officer with the department.
The caller identifies himself as Sgt. Roger Jackson (Johnson in one case) and tells the caller that they did not respond to a subpoena or warrant. The scammer has used the phone number 724-634-4865.
Police said this is a scam, and those who have received the call should contact the department’s non-emergency number at 724-656-9300.
