PITTSBURGH — Jennifer Butler, the co-owner of Ocean Treasures, knows it’s risky to open a business during these unprecedented times, but she said she is willing to try.
“We felt like it would be a failure to the community to not continue to push forward,” Butler said.
The new seafood restaurant in Ross Township was supposed to open June 1, but the COVID-19 restrictions delayed things. Shortly after new orders were put in place allowing 25% capacity dine-in service, the owners held open interviews for bartenders and servers.
“I’m excited to get back to working. I don’t like being without a job,” said Dakota Hughley, who was just hired Friday.
The Ross Township location plans to open by the end of July.
