GREENSBURG, Pa. — Joe Biden and Black Lives Matter yard signs in the Greensburg area were found vandalized Thursday morning, tagged with orange spray paint. Neighbors say it’s disappointing to see.
“It’s cowardly, and juvenile, honestly. Very immature. In this area, we’re a community where we’re accepting of each in a lot of ways,” Beth Mabry said. “Sent a message out to some of my neighbors and asked them if they had anything similar. And sure enough, a couple of other households in the community had specific signs vandalized.”
She had one of several signs found with a spray painted ‘X’ in the Coulter farms neighborhood of Greensburg overnight. Mabry was able to capture one of the alleged suspects on her camera.
“We have fuzzy video that shows a car rolling through about 1:30 in the morning and somebody getting out of the passenger side and spray painting the sign and hopping back in and leaving,” she said.
Greensburg police said they believe the car may be an older model silver Chevy or Buick sedan with a sunroof.
“It’s hard to know what’s in the minds of people when they do something like this but the timing is interesting. We are supposed to respect each other’s property and free speech,” Mabry said.
