Officers apply tourniquet to shooting victim in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — A person was shot late Monday night in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood, police said.

A ShotSpotter alert notified police to the shooting just before 10 p.m. along Frankstown Avenue.

Officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. They rendered aid, including applying a tourniquet, to the victim before he was taken to a hospital.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and they do not have any suspects.
