Initially, emergency responders, including police and park rangers, were called to Carnegie Lake at the park after a dog fell in and “became wedged.”

Chopper 11 spotted a large presence of crews at the scene.

A park ranger entered the water and tried to get the dog free. EMS divers were then called in to assist rescuing the dog -- a Yorkshire terrier -- from underneath a slab in the lake.

They were able to save the dog and return it to its owner.
