Police followed her car for about a mile on Tuesday night before pulling her over on Washington Street. Two people were in the car with her.

Police said she was in the backseat of the car and gave officers a fake name. Wilbert attempted to get to her purse and backpack, according to police.

“Our officers deal with a lot of bad things. It totally could’ve gone the other way. Thank goodness everyone is safe,” said Deputy Chief Dave Adam.

Wilbert is in jail on $100,000 bond. Police are trying to figure out where the stolen gun came from.

The two others in the car were not charged.
