PITTSBURGH — A local business is trying to figure out how to pay its employees after its payroll company unexpectedly folded.
Liken Home Healthcare, a Forest Hills-based company, said employees got their normal paychecks last week. But within two days, the money was completely gone.
Employees said their paychecks had been pulled from their bank accounts.

Liken Home Healthcare used Albany, New York based My Payroll HR. On Thursday, Liken received an email saying future payroll transactions could not be processed due to unforseen circumstances.
The company took out a loan to pay employees impacted. It's not clear if or when workers will get the money back they lost.
Calls to My Payroll HR were answered by a generic recorded message.
