PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania’s NAACP is working to get the vaccine into the arms of people from areas in need all across the state.
“This is extremely important, particularly given then fact that we know Black and brown communities have suffered immensely from COVID-19,” said NAACP’s state president, Kenneth Huston.
On Saturday, Huston said a clinic will be held at the Penn Hills School of Entrepreneurship, where nearly 400 people will be able to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Huston said there are spots available for the weekend clinic.
“We picked this as our first vaccination site in southwestern Pennsylvania because it is kind of a key geographical location,” Huston said.
