PITTSBURGH — People living along a Brookline street are angry and frustrated after a truck driver plowed into their cars and kept driving.

“I heard a humongous noise, and I knew cars were hit,” Dora Mae Greppi told Channel 11.

“I heard him barreling down the street,” said Chris Homa.

Homa said he wasn’t going to let the driver get away.

Security cameras were rolling, capturing a U-Haul truck speeding up the street after smashing into parked cars. In the video, Homa can be seen parking his car. Seconds later, the truck comes flying up and hits his neighbor’s car.

“I pulled up behind them because they were stopped in front of a house,” he said. “I just took a picture of the license plate.”

Homa said that’s when he became a target.

“Just rammed up into me. Like in reverse,” he said. “I was at that point screaming out my car window like ‘You hit me!’ And then they said that they were going to turn around.”

The front of his new car was smashed, but he was able to help police catch the driver.

“I’m bummed out that my car’s jacked up, but I’m also glad we got the plate number,” he said.
