People urged to #LeaveNoTrace after lots of trash found at Pa. state parks

A lot of trash, dog waste and graffiti were found last weekend at Pennsylvania state parks, the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources said.

DCNR said in a Facebook post a lot of people visited the parks, and the trash left behind has to be dealt with by “very small numbers of staff.”

“Please be respectful of our natural resources,” the post urged. “Whatever food, drinks, or dog waste bags you take in with you to a park, please carry out with you when they are trash. Help keep state parks safe, clean, and open. #LeaveNoTrace.”
