PITTSBURGH — Monday night is going to be an amazing night for sky gazers as the moon will have a little extra flare and size tonight.

The pink full moon should be visible across our entire area with only a few clouds from time to time. The moon is named after the herb, pink moss which blooms fully in the eastern United States during April.

The moon will rise tonight over the Steel City in the southeastern sky at 7:49 p.m. The moon will be considered “full” at 11:33 p.m.

It will also be a Supermoon tonight with the full moon appearing 15 percent brighter and 7 percent bigger in the night sky.

Temperatures should be in the upper 40s and lower 50s as the moon reaches peak.
