Plans in the works to redevelop vacant North Hills shopping plaza

ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — There are plans to redevelop a shopping plaza in the North Hills.

The building on Perry Highway where a wine and spirits store and Vocelli Pizza once stood has been vacant for years.

Now, there is a plan to transform the plaza into "The Ross," a combination of retail and housing -- something people in the area wouldn't mind.

Ross Township officials told Channel 11 the project was discussed at a meeting Monday night. These renderings show what The Ross could look like:

Though there is no word yet on what stores have signed on to the project, or how much housing is included, the community is looking forward to something new.
