PLUM BOROUGH, Pa. — Police have arrested a suspect in a bank robbery on Monday in Plum Borough after tipsters helped identify him from surveillance images.

Michael Moschetti, 39, of Jeannette, was tracked down in Erie. He is suspected of robbing the Key Bank on Route 286 in Plum.
After positively identifying Moschetti, a warrant for his arrest was filed on Tuesday and several areas were searched without success, police said. It was then learned that he had disposed of his cellphone and was asking people to use their phones to make calls.
Police said Moschetti called family and friends to tell them that he was eluding apprehension.

On Wednesday morning, authorities tracked Moschetti to a home in Erie, where he was taken into custody. He had nearly $600 in his possession and was wearing the same hat he was seen wearing during the robbery, police said. %

Moschetti was taken to the Allegheny County Jail on charges related to the robbery.
