FRAZER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police arrested a man Wednesday whom they called a “career criminal” and charged him in connection with a burglary in Frazer Township last month.
Dean Vankirk, 51, has a 37-page criminal record and was on parole, police said.

Investigators said they matched his DNA to blood found at the scene of the burglary on Bakerstown Road.

According to police, Vankirk cut himself while breaking through a glass door at the home. Police said he stole electronics, credit cards and cash.
Investigators are looking for a woman who they believe helped Vankirk during the burglary.
Vankirk remained in the Allegheny County Jail Thursday morning.
