Police charge woman seen on video driving through group of peaceful protesters

FARRELL, Pa. — A woman has been charged after cell phone video shows her driving through a crowd of people Friday night at a peaceful protest in Farrell, Mercer County.

Another cell phone captured the moment one protester was hit. That protester told Channel 11 he had to go to the hospital and showed us his medical records, which shows he has a leg and an ankle injury.

The driver, Amanda Hogenmiller, eventually stopped and was surrounded by protesters and police.

Four other people suffered minor injuries.

Hogenmiller has been charged with recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and careless driving.

The Mercer County District Attorney said protesters will be charged with disorderly conduct.
