SOUTH BEACH, Fla. — A Pennsylvania woman died in a Florida hotel room last week after police say she was drugged, raped and robbed.

Christine Englehardt traveled from Bucks County to South Beach for spring break.

Two men who police say are responsible for her death will remain in jail.

21-year-old Evoire Collier and 24-year-old Dorian Taylor were visiting South Beach from North Carolina for spring break.

Both are facing charges after police say surveillance video showed them accompanying Englehardt into her hotel, then leaving 40 minutes later.

The 24-year-old victim was later found partially clothed and dead inside her room at the Albion Hotel.

Investigators say Englehardt met the men at a restaurant where they gave her a pill before heading back to her hotel.

Police say Collier and Taylor had sex with Englehardt multiple times and once she was unconscious, they remained inside the room and didn’t call for help.

Then police say surveillance video shows the pair using her credit card to buy alcohol at a nearby liquor store.

One of Englehardt’s Facebook posts from 2019 is getting a lot of attention.

In it, she issued a warning about predators, writing:

“So if you ever feel unsafe in ANY way or have a feeling something isn’t right, always go with your gut. This is a dangerous world now unfortunately and you never know what anyone’s true intentions are.”

Englehart’s family and friends are devastated by her loss.

“She had dreams and goals and all these things that she’ll never be able to do now because of them,” said Hailey Davis.

Englehardt’s co-workers and friends started a GoFundMe page to help the family cover funeral costs.

The goal was originally to raise $5,000. The donation total is now approaching $50,000.
