PITTSBURGH — A woman is in jail after police said she stole a vehicle, crashed and then nearly ran a man over with it in Perrysville.
“I noticed that the bus stop sign was severed and landed in my yard," said Ralph Lowe Jr.
He heard a loud crash outside, then came out to see damage on his car.
He told Channel 11 he walked up to a woman he spotted sitting in a car nearby.

"I asked her if she was OK, she said yes, she (was) fine, I said alright, I’m going to call the police," Lowe said.
That's when he claims Maquallah Alford-Bey drove the car into his legs while he was on the phone with dispatchers.
"I screamed, 'What are you doing?' and she said, 'I’m leaving,'" Lowe said.
When police arrived, Lowe realized the woman was responsible for crashing into the bus stop and hitting his car.
"One of the officers told me that all morning they had been receiving phone calls about a car driving erratically all over the North Side," Lowe said.
Alford-Bey is in the Allegheny County Jail. Police caught her inside the stolen car on Brighton Road and West North Avenue.
