PITTSBURGH — The refurbished PNC Carousel in Oakland’s Schenley Park Plaza has reopened to the public.

“The kids, they’re really excited with it,” said Shawn Fertitta of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy.

There are COVID-19 safety protocols in place, including mask wearing and physical distancing.

Tokens for a ride cost $2.

The original carousel at that location was opened in 1913. Erected in 2006, the current carousel features a number of different animals and is a popular family attraction.
