A man was able to pull a boy from the Yough River at Ohiopyle.
Investigators said the man was a former water rescue team captain and was in the park when he spotted the boy. He had been swept underwater by the river’s current.
The boy wound up on a rock below the main falls.
The man was able to safely pull the boy out of the water.
