LATROBE, Pa. — Saint Vincent College went into lockdown Thursday after a surge of COVID-19 cases.
Students on campus were ordered to shelter in place, and all classes will be held remotely because of the case spike.
In an email sent to students, college president Rev. Paul Taylor said symptomatic and surveillance testing will take place throughout campus over the next few days. The results will determine how long the mandate will stay in place.

Students should stay on campus. Students who return home will have to undergo testing and quarantine when they return to campus until they get the results.
Fully vaccinated students who go home are exempt, but they will have to submit their vaccination cards to college officials.
