School van driver killed in crash with semi-truck in Lawrence County

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The driver of a school van was killed Wednesday morning in a crash with a semi-truck in Perry Township, officials said.

The crash was reported shortly before 11 a.m. on Portersville Road.

Officials said no students were in the van. The last student had gotten off just before the crash.

The van involved in the crash was a Mercer Area School District van. The driver died, but an aide on board was not seriously hurt, the coroner said.

The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt, the coroner said.
