Several local school districts part of class-action lawsuit against Juul

PITTSBURGH — The Brownsville Area School District has joined a class-action lawsuit against the electronic cigarette maker Juul.

The lawsuit alleges the company targets school-aged children and has dramatically increased the use of e-cigarettes among Brownsville students.

Pittsburgh Public Schools, North Hills, McKeesport, and Butler are also part of the lawsuit.

Juul has said they’re working with communities to combat underage use.
