PITTSBURGH — A shootout in a Pittsburgh neighborhood triggered a SWAT situation late Monday night.

The shots were fired between a person inside a home on Freeland Street in Beltzhoover and another person who was outside, investigators determined.

Police were notified of the shooting shortly after 11 p.m. by a ShotSpotter alert that detected 13 rounds being fired in the area.

A SWAT team was called to check the home. Officials said the SWAT officers determined that no one was inside.

When officers got to the home, they saw that the front door was open and gave commands for anyone inside to come out, police said.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
