Showtime series filming in Pittsburgh area, casting extras

PITTSBURGH — The Showtime Television Network is filming their television series “Rust,” and they’re casting extras.

The show stars Jeff Daniels and is about a small Rust Belt town in southwestern Pennsylvania. Daniels plays the town’s chief of police, Del Harris, a man forced to decide how far he’s willing to go for the woman he loves.

People interested in becoming an extra should apply by email to rustextras@gmail.com.

The series is looking for paid background actors to play locals, cops, restaurant goers, high school and college football players, bar patrons and more.

Filming starts next month and goes through early August. They’ll be filming in and around the Pittsburgh area.
