Spring gobbler season to go on as planned despite COVID-19 outbreak

HARRISBURG, Pa. — There is some good news for Pennsylvania hunters looking to get out the house: Spring turkey season will get underway as planned, but it will look a little different this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission said spring gobbler season will kick off with the youth spring turkey hunt on April 25. The statewide spring gobbler season runs from May 2 to May 30.

Hunters are reminded to follow social-distancing, and other guidelines. A simple rule to remember is if hunters live together, they can hunt together, PA Game Commission officials said.
