State lawmaker wants to bring back toll workers to ensure money properly collected

PITTSBURGH — A state lawmaker wants to bring back toll workers.

State Sen. Marty Flynn, a Democrat serving northeastern Pennsylvania, is behind the new proposal.

He said bringing back workers at busy interchanges could help ensure the tolls are properly collected.

This plan comes after it was revealed the Pennsylvania Turnpike did not collect more than $100 million in tolls.
