PITTSBURGH — Part of Pittsburgh’s light-rail system will be shut down Friday for track repairs.

The Port Authority of Allegheny County said inbound service on the T will end at the Wood Street station downtown. A rail will then take riders to the Gateway, North Side and Allegheny stations via the outbound tracks.

Crews are aiming to be done before the evening rush hour.

Riders heading toward Station Square after 9 a.m. should wait on the outbound platforms at those stations.

Delays could last up to 20 minutes for riders moving between Wood and Allegheny stations, the agency said.
