LAWRENCEVILLE, Pa. — A truck full of toys made its way to Children's Hospital on Thursday, bringing joy to kids who can't be home for Christmas.
In all, 3,000 toys were donated, thanks to Jameson's Army as part of the nonprofit's annual toy drive for patients spending the holidays in the hospital's heart center.
"We've spent Christmas here, and it's just not a place where you want to be for Christmas," Danielle McKain said. "So if I can help make it easier for the families that are here, like I once was, that's what I want to do."

They wanted to pay it forward after their son, Jameson, was born with half a heart seven years ago.
Jameson had six open-heart surgeries and a transplant and spent almost a year at Children's to get better.
Now, he's an active little boy and full of life.

"This is just my way of saying thank you to this wonderful facility for saving my son's life," McKain said.
This is Jameson's Army's sixth year helping to spread holiday cheer, now totaling more than 6,000 toys since their start.
Jameson's Army actually visits Children's Hospital all year-round, bringing treats and food for families and nurses to make sure they feel appreciated, no matter the season.
