Two injured after vehicle crashes into city fire station

PITTSBURGH — Two people were taken to the hospital after the vehicle they were in hit a fire station early Sunday morning.

Pittsburgh City Police said the incident occurred in the 900 block of Steuben Street around 12 a.m.

No damage was reported to the fire engines and no injuries to firefighters were reported.

Firefighters from Station 30 found that the car had hit the front of the station. Medics extricated the driver and passenger who were conscious and alert. Both victims were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
