Two local school districts sue makers of Juul vape products

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Two local school districts are suing the makers of Juul vape products.

The Slippery Rock and McKeesport Area school districts filed lawsuits claiming the company's marketing tactics have created an epidemic among students, according to our partners at TribLIVE.com.

The districts are the fifth and sixth districts in the area to file federal lawsuits against the company. Other local districts include Butler Area, South Butler, Moniteau and Karns City.

The Slippery Rock School District said it's seeing the impacts of Juul, including counselors who are working with addicted students.
