PITTSBURGH — An Uber driver fired a shot after he was allegedly assaulted by four passengers early Tuesday morning in Pittsburgh’s South Oakland neighborhood, police said.
The incident was reported about 2 a.m. at a Sunoco gas station on Craft Avenue, near UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital.
The Uber driver told police he fired a gun in self-defense. One of the men who he said assaulted him was grazed in the head, according to police.
Authorities said the man who was grazed was taken to a hospital in stable condition. The other men fled, but they were later arrested for robbery.
