PITTSBURGH — City officials say boats left unattended on the North Shore could be picked up by a salvage company if they’re not removed from the Allegheny River once the water recedes.

Near PNC Park, several boats have been stranded and one appears to have sunk.

Pittsburgh’s Chief Operations Officer Guy Costa said boat owners had plenty of warning about the upcoming storm and should have removed their boats.
