Vandal used mailbox, rocks to smash windows of homes, car in South Park Twp.

SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Someone used a mailbox and rocks to smash windows of homes and a car Saturday night in South Park Township, police said.

The vandal ripped out the mailbox at the dog kennel near the old high school entrance, then carried it to a house on Ridge Road about 6:30 p.m., according to police.

Using the mailbox, they first tried to smash the home’s glass front door, South Park Township police said.

When it wouldn’t break, the person walked over to the side of the home and shattered a different glass door.

After that, the vandal went to another house on Ridge Road and threw a rock through its front glass door, according to police.

Police said from there, the person made their way to Amy Drive, where they threw a rock through a parked car’s back window.

Surveillance video from one of the home’s was posted on Facebook by police, who ask that anyone with information about the person responsible for the vandalism call 412-833-1000.
