A veteran Pittsburgh police officer said she was discriminated against for taking out a PFA against her husband, who was a fellow officer.

Patricia Poloka is now suing the city.

In 2012, she said she was demoted to a street cop and transferred to the Zone 3 Station.

She said she was told at the time it was because of a manpower issue, only later to find out a note in her file said it was because "she was having a major problem with handling a crisis in her personal life."
