Warning about fire hazard with battery-powered fidget spinners

One of the hottest toys on the market has proven, in some cases, to be too hot, literally.

There are new reports that certain versions of fidget spinner can pose serious fire dangers.

Those toys have lights, connect to phones via Bluetooth and contain lithium ion batteries.

The battery is similar to the kind that has caused fires in hoverboards, cell phones and laptops.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is now investigating.

They advise not leaving the item charging unattended, following manufacturer's instructions and only using the charger provided with the product.
