PETERS TWP. — Two large water main breaks in Washington County prompted warnings from police Sunday.

The first 12-inch main break affected traffic in the area of East McMurray Road for several hours. Peters Township Police said it happened near the intersection with Washington Road.

Officials told Channel 11 drivers had delays throughout the day, and multiple businesses were affected.

There were also traffic delays in the 4000 block of Washington Road due to another water main break.

Between the two breaks, about 60 customers had low or no water pressure. As of 6:45 p.m., water was restored.
