CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. — Weapons, drugs and thousands of dollars in cash were found after an investigation in Fayette County that lasted several months.

Police told Channel 11 the investigation took a lot of time, manpower and help from the community to bring down the alleged drug-dealing operation in a public housing complex.

Neighbors living in Gibson Terrace in Connellsville told Channel 11 they aren't surprised to hear police raided an apartment there. They tell us it's been attracting a lot of attention the past few months.

One neighbor, who did not want to be identified, told Channel 11 they woke up in the middle of the night to see police across the street.

"We found a large number of firearms inside, stolen from Fayette and Westmoreland counties, different types of narcotics -- crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana and heroin," said Sgt. Bryan Kendi with Connellsville police.

Police arrested Andre Randolph and Jamal Cook.

The suspects didn't live there but, investigators say dealers from Pittsburgh, like Randolph is alleged to be, were making their way out to Connellsville to sell drugs out of the home.

"When you have people doing nefarious things alongside people just living their day-to-day life trying to survive, it makes things a lot more dangerous and difficult," Kendi said.

A key around Randolph's neck opened a safe inside the house; that is where police say they found the drugs and more than $6,600 in cash.

According to police, more arrests are coming.
