PITTSBURGH — A student at Central Catholic High School has been diagnosed with whooping cough.
A letter was sent to parents informing them of the diagnosis and letting them know other students might have been exposed.
The school is undergoing extensive cleaning out of an abundance of caution, the letter said.
Parents are advised by the Pennsylvania Department of Health to call a doctor if their child starts coughing and explain that they might have been exposed to whooping cough.
