PITTSBURGH — A woman has been charged with attempted homicide for allegedly shooting and beating her friend in Spring Hill earlier this week.
Amorri Cleckley and the victim were arguing early Wednesday morning when a witness told police they heard a gunshot. That same person allegedly looked through a peephole and “observed Cleckley fire the gun a second time” and then “dragged the victim out of the doorway and began to beat the victim in the face with the gun.”
Neighbor Matthew Francher was in the area as well.
“I heard the gunshot. I heard the gunshot and I saw when she fell,” he told Channel 11.

The victim told police she was struck again as she tried to run away and collapsed. That's when Francher and other neighbors jumped in to help.
Francher says he was taking his trash out when he heard that gunshot. He says he ran over to the help the victim.

“I applied pressure. I waited until paramedics and the fire truck got there first,” he said. “I wanted her to stay alert and to stay with me.”
Francher was one of several neighbors who jumped in to help.
“(A woman) put the blanket over her, I’m still there, I’m holding pressure, everybody was there trying to assist so whatever they can,” he said.
