HANOVER TWP., Pa. — An Aliquippa woman was hit and killed by a vehicle after she got out of her car following a previous crash at the same location Friday morning.
According to the Washington County Coroner, Lori Ann Dickey, 47, was hit and killed on Route 22 west near mile marker 1, Hanover Township, around 2:01 a.m.
Officials said Dickey was driving a vehicle east on Route 22 when she crossed the center median into oncoming lanes, hitting a tractor-trailer. She then got out of her vehicle, began to approach the driver of the tractor-trailer, and was hit by another vehicle.
She was pronounced dead shortly before 3:40 a.m.
The incident is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State police.
