Woman stopped with loaded gun at Pittsburgh International Airport checkpoint

MOON TWP. — Transportation Security Administration screeners found another loaded gun at Pittsburgh International Airport over the weekend.

According to the Allegheny County Police, the loaded .380 handgun was found in a Verona woman’s purse at the main security checkpoint around 7 a.m.

The gun was spotted by a TSA officer as it passed through the X-ray machine. The gun was confiscated and the woman questioned.

County Police said the woman had a valid concealed carry permit and inadvertently left the firearm in her purse.
